Requesting Humanized Art Critique.

So I don’t stink up the database with my crap art.
 

 
It’s still very amateurish, but I like it better than my last attempt at humanized, which was so crappy I didn’t even want to upload it here. I actually did some simple shading and a pre-sketch for the arms and body, when usually I just start with the lineart.

So…are her boobs attached to her armpits?

I was afraid of falling into the “skintight t-shirt” mistake, but appear to have flubbed it.

Critiques can only get you so far, you will want to spend time studying human anatomy and more importantly, train your eye. There’s a good book I would recommend named “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” which explains the key difference from people able to draw, and people who are not able to draw.
 
I hear the best way to get good with human anatomy is just look at a RL human figure (photo or model, your choice), and try copying exactly what you see many times. You should be more familiar with human anatomy this way when you spend more time studying the human body in great detail.

The things that stand out to me are her feet being perfectly flat against the bed (which suggests messed-up ankles or that her waist is turned), and that Gummy is in a standing pose, head turned, even though he’s lying down and apparently sleeping. He doesn’t look relaxed, basically.
 
But I couldn’t even draw this well, so what do I know?

That said, you could also study the proportions of the human body while basic anatomy. Because even if you draw a person as you see them having a basic understanding of how big x is supposed to be compared to y isn’t going to help much, nor how many “heads” high a body is supposed to be.
