For the longest time I thought this was a picture of a hand shaped like a foot, and that Pinkie’s hoof was the shirt sleeve.

@UserAccount
OK, I thought it was just a really obtuse reference to TV Tropes or something.

D’awww…Little Wockhoof!
Sorry, sorry, I almost forgot this was supposed to be a bad moment.

I’m sorry…is the connection just “monarch flanked by two guards emerges from a portal”? Or is there more to it?

I noticed they left out Trenderhoof and Fashion Plate.
Obviously the series finale is reserved only for the most important ponies. :P

So the Mane Six defeated a fire rhino in some interplanetary space battle?
This I gotta see.

My thoughts:
Honestly, as someone who loves G4 (with waning interest lately), as much as I wish it could go on forever, all good things have to come to an end. I highly doubt a written petition is going to change Hasbro’s mind.
If you really feel strongly about it, I’d encourage you to just “vote” with your view and wallet. If G5 doesn’t live up to your expectations, or you’re just plain not interested in it, the best thing to do is to just not watch it. Don’t buy G5 merchandise. Maybe voice your thoughts on the new generation on social media, without being obnoxious. It may be small in the grand scheme of things, but with a company like Hasbro (who is well aware of the cultural impact G4 has made), they’ll likely start to pick up on any lack of demand for G5 and adjust accordingly. Now, given that their primary target audience is still little girls, it likely won’t make a difference as long as parents just keep buying their kids toys. But hey, in the free market, you never know. Especially since it’s been said that Hasbro wants to expand to a more mature audience.
I highly doubt we’ll see something like a return to FiM, but if the new generation ends up not doing as well as G4, or not making a similar cultural impact to that of G4, they may take notice of just how beloved G4 is to fans and maybe (emphasis on maybe) return to that continuity. Unlikely, but strange things have happened before.
Personally, I’ve accepted that G4 is ending and G5 will be coming soon, although I’m not that interested in a whole new continuity (especially if, as the leaks suggest, it ends up basically being a rehash of G4 but with different designs). So I’ll probably check out a few episodes of G5 once they come out, but I’m a little doubtful I’ll be as into it as I’ve been into G4 (part of it also has to do with my wanting to focus on other fandoms and on original content)

I actually do. I know, I’m in like an extreme minority.
Yeah, he’s a jerk, but he’s so tubby-cute. XD

Artist here. There is also a typo somewhere in there, which a commenter pointed out, so the message is going to have one small error which I may or may not remedy.

I’m not too sad about the show ending. I do think there are a lot of things in G4 they could expand upon in future shorts or comics, like the Student Six, other non-pony creatures, and even some of our favorite background ponies, but all in all I’ve kind of accepted the end of FiM (possibly also due to my interest in MLP sort of waning).
It’s the whole G5 reboot thing I am a little concerned about.

If it’s not going to be a sequel (which appears to be the case), I’d much rather it have new characters, either in a completely new or at least similar world. TBH I’d rather not see the mane six as the main characters of the new generation. Guest appearances, maybe, but making them the stars again would only lead to people endlessly comparing it to G4.
