I only agree with the idea that people shouldn’t outright tell each other how to feel about inconsequential shit if given the stipulation that people should still be able to give and take lighter suggestions on how to feel about inconcequential shit

and i’m saying it pales in comparison to stuff that actually fits that description. btw mind elaborating why you feel the need to throw in that last part

“it was trying too hard to try too hard.” has some moderately reaching implications to suggest such a thing

if it takes Max G to get you to say such a thing, you probably aren’t the most informed person in the realm of gratuitous shock humor.

I’m not objected to the content, just the prospect of producing this much of it, all of which is almost functionally identical. Is it a means to an end? Is this just what this guy’s gonna do for the rest of their days? I’d feel the same way no matter what the theme is.

also this response was like, really dismissive and disrespectful to the dude who clearly wants your work to improve, the dude who very politely eased the blow of their feedback by chasing it with multiple compliments because they see what merit there is to your work.

i think that because people going outside and minding their own business is completely different from submitting your creations to, i reiterate, a public forum, i.e. a place where anyone in the world with internet access can see what you made and give constructive criticism if they so please.
uploading your work here was something you did on your own volition and you have to understand what that entails, which is that when you showcase your work in front of a bunch of random people, even within a more defined community, eventually someone will come along and they might take issue with something here and there.
of course, none of this is to defend anyone who decides to use platforms like this to unconstructively tear people down, but it’s unrealistic to expect or demand only positive feedback from a public forum. if you want a complete echo chamber of positive feedback, i won’t take umbrage with it so long as you realize you can just as easily make an invite only art gallery on discord or a private twitter account to do just that. but it’s not something people are gonna want to entertain on here.

You solicit criticism by uploading your work to a public forum. Any other perspective on the matter is sheltered and regressive.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for comments with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, comments containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
