Por que Hasbro emplea (o empleo, al menos) lobies de abogados que cobran por caso y no tienen concepto de “fair use” por que saben que quienes amenazan no tienen dinero para contratar un abogado para combatirles. Ni que decir de que que lo que dice un abogado de pacotilla poco tiene que ver con lo que es justo, que es el trabajo real que hace uno.

Son cosas bien distintas crear una obra nueva basada en una IP existente, y editar una imagen para darle pezones. Si las imagenes de este artista fueran simples edits de la serie, pues genial quejarse; pero no lo son, son originales, sean cuales sean los personajes que aparezcan, el trabajo es original y los derechos de reproduccion, edicion, y credito son del artista.

Argumentos no tienes, solo viejas y aburridas quejas de que no percibes todas las obra de otros gratis bajo la excusa de que el personaje no le pertenece y la osadez de que un artista tenga derecho a decidir que se hace con su trabajo. Cuando tengas algo nuevo que decir, dilo, que para leer la misma patranya quejica por undecima vez en lo que va de semana no estamos. Mas te valdria aprender a dibujar que malgastar tiempo editando lo que ya sabias de antemano que el artista no queria editado, pero hiceste de todos modos.

El arte de este es su trabajo, es original. Que sea un personaje propio o inventado por otro no importa. Acaso nunca has oido de parodias comerciales? O igual incluso crees que un artista no puede cobrar por una pintura de la Virgen del Pilar porque la pilarica pertenece a la Iglesia?
 
Es simple; si esto fuera un edit de la serie, genial quejarse. Pero no lo es, es una imagen original. Que sea “Rarity” o no es estupido; podria el artista decir que es su OC “Lality” y punto. Pero de eso no va el asunto; lo “importante” es que el artista tiene la osadia de pedir una limosna a cambio de un minimo porcentage de su trabajo como agradacimiento, lo ofensivo de la idea de que no todos los artistas regalen porno gratis a diario por el simple hecho de que les guste la misma serie de ponis animados.

You’ve posted the same comment well over a hundred times. It’s an absurdly low impact tag that affects thousands of artists and uploaders; your comments aren’t hitting “the 3-4 guys” uploading content under the tag and “educating” them, they’re hitting over a hundred different people and the thousands that have to read them, the former of which will prefer to stop uploading altogether over it, the latter will get annoyed with the spam. After the tenth instance you should have realized to report “repeat offenders” and, honestly, just not get so worked up over cute shipping images.

Imgur has been used in the past by several artists to store higher res images due to Tumblr (and some other sites’) resolution limits; I am not intimately aware of their optimization policies, but I assume their system ran some analysis and decided converting the image to a JPG would be beneficial (for them).
 
The uploader did not make a mistake; they have no access to the PNG in any form and no way to know that the JPG offered on Imgur by the artist isn’t the “ultimate” file. In any case, a 2000x1000 JPG would still be superior to a downscaled PNG half the size (unless the artifacting were really bad).
 
“Background Pony” is the site’s terminology for “Anonymous”, given to users that do not have an account on the site, or that do but prefer to not be identified in the upload credit or comment (for whatever reason, like not wanting to be known for uploading porn, or not wanting to be confused for the artist).

Usually when an artist uploads a high res file to an alternate site to get around Tumblr’s size limits, that’s considered to be the “canon” file, regardless of formats. Neither the uploader nor anyone here would be able to know that imgur fucked it up, and they do not deserve to be insulted or berated for simply trying to provide the highest quality image available. You calling them “stupid” for trying to help is very low.

She’s funny and cute; that’s what makes up half of all likeable OCs, with the other half mostly being lewd.
 
As for why this was featured: I saw a few of the OC’s images and found them cute and/or funny, so I nominated this one that managed to make me smile a bit for the internal vote system. Other mods voted it for their own reasons (one can’t vote on their own nominations) and it won for this round.
 
I didn’t care that it’s not “technically great” or whatever; that’s not what the featured image thing is about. I thought it was a nice image and thought other people would appreciate seeing it as well, so I put it forward. That simple. If someone looks at an image like this and sees only errors or incorrect lines or aliasing or the like, then I pity them beyond words, because what I see is something that makes me feel a bit happier.

It’s another conditional for the site to check and such a minor issue relative to what work is already slotted in. At the end of the day all featured images are harmless and safe, and at worst people that for some reason really don’t like them are just exposed to a spoiler image for 3 full days.
