The reason for “White, Silver and Black” is supposedly the 2008 recession. Everyone wanted their cars to retain value (?) or maybe they wanted something cheaper; so the trend was all the same.
 
I’m pretty sure that detailing the car is going to help keep its value better than the paint color unless you’re putting something like avocado green on a new car.

You can but I still count many whites, silvers and blacks if I look; after that, I find Reds and Blues but few Greens and few Yellows. I did see a yellow Pontiac Solstice (If I’m not mistaken?) and a yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser yesterday but those were exceptions.

It is nice seeing Green now and then. This finish reminds me of Vetteman61’s 1971 Pontiac Grand Safari at the Station Wagon Forums; it’s not exact, though:

IDK, just so many big cars.  
And some we do have back in Chile but, not sure if I shrunk but they look bigger.  
Might have to do with other psychological effect since I’ve had a lot of changes in my life recently.

Funny enough, I kinda knew about it, but it really grabbed my attention after I saw Doug Demuro’s video on the Subaru Baja, later in the comments I see someone wanting to him to review the “quirky” Honda Ridgeline.
 
I started studying it, realized it has quite some awesome features. What really grabbed me though is the J series engine and the idea of turbocharging it some day ehehehehe.  
Why not. After some studying I’ve seen people doing 500 hp on just 5-8 PSI and others doing 800 HP on a stock Odyssey block. And that’s not all, CSS (Cylinder Support System) offers their service for these blocks, that could make one of these running 700+ still be reliable enough to even daily.  
Never turboed a car, but I’ve seen so many builds already it doesn’t scare me to do so.
 
About the gearbox, well unless I surpass 500WHP I doubt we will need to care much.
 
Also, fully independent suspension / good handling, makes it a good candidate in the pickup market for this kind of thing.
 
ehehe I’m gonna enjoy living in the US.
 
 
(Also it will probably be a year from now before I even attempt this)

turns out the Autobahn is the most pleasant driving experience in Germany though, no strange roundabouts or anything :p

independent suspension is a good selling point for the Ridgeline. I love the newer version! and the off-road skill is adequate as long as you don’t overheat the AWD system
 
what specific year are you looking at? You should go to Carcomplaints.com to see if there are any big issues with the specific model you want :)

in the USA we hate roundabouts
 
In Wisconsin they push roundabouts under the pretense of safety, but I have seen nothing to suggest that they are safer than regular four way intersections. I firmly believe roundabouts are less safe because you can’t tell which way other vehicles are turning (nobody uses their turn signals in roundabouts) until they begin to turn and there is no guarantee other vehicles are going to yield like they are supposed to. Just a week ago, someone I know almost got hit because an idiot driver blew through the yield signs in a roundabout.

To my understanding, the safety argument in roundabouts has more to do with the speed and angle of impact.  
Although accidents do happen, they shouldn’t be as fatal on a roundabout.
 
Also to the general conversation, I see mini roundabouts here in Miami a lot, they work great imo, most of the time you don’t even need to stop, so its more efficient too, while 4 way stops always have a little traffic, and even if not you still have to stop. They feel safer than our typical Yield crossings where one of the roads can just ramp through careless.
