Credit Due

Okay, this has been bothering me all day, possibly longer. Can someone tell me about Credit Due, a few hours I posted fan art on Discord in a server and let’s just say someone wasn’t very happy about that. This wasn’t my server but rather a Community fanbase server on a video game.

I’m not asking why Credit Due is important, I understand that in this case it is important to credit the author. Though posting art via Social Media could possibly cause trouble, depending on the circumstance scenarios such as being banned or profile suspension, and so on.

If you were to tell someone, how would you respond to their actions - any advice would you give them since they have no acknowledge about credit due. What do you prefer to say to help someone avoid getting suspended?
