I actually was waiting for that since I saw that Black was wearing a potara. Just one of them has to change it from one ear to the other and they will fuse.
The question is, will Goku and Vegeta do the same, when yes which way, and will it be enought to overpower them, or will they have to use the mafuba after all?
Also I wonder, what will happen with the button Goku got from the God of Everything? It was set up pretty early in the arc, but not mentioned once since.

It’d be too easy to resolve the arc with that one. It’s probably just gonna be some gag at the end of the arc.

Which, the fusion or the mafuba? They should at least try the mafuba once. Just to show again how useless this technique can be. Just like on Piccolo. I guess, the thing will just break up after they put Zamgoku in it.

Actually it worked on piccolo, just that they have to keep the story going somehow so roshi got screwed.

It worked on him the first time, yes. But he got out eventually, and after that Roshi screwed up, Tien Shinhan couldn’t do it either and Kami did got sucked in himself, because Piccolo Jr. managed to counter it. Also the powerlevels were much much weaker back then. Who knows if the pot would even hold up someone so strong.
Still it is worth a try. And I actually want to see it again. I just wonder, wasn’t it established that the users dies after using that technique, because it is so life draining?

I meant the plot demanded Roshi will fail so Goku can beat Piccolo. He got him on the mafuba then the rice cooker’s closed before he can seal him for some reason. I don’t think power levels are an issue (king piccolo is much stronger than roshi at that point) though it can be countered by a specified mafuba counter.
Eh death is cheap in the DB universe at this point. Remember when the Kikoho should kill the user after being used X number of times(sometimes it’s a one time usage move)?

The only thing was, someone put it in the thumbnail of the episode, and I was kinda frustrated that they didn’t do it in this episode. Or at least didn’t set it up. Even if we all knew it would come eventually.
