Comedy nowadays became offensive to them and the only comedies that are not offensive are most MCU films and Deadpool.
 
Sure, they aren’t fully comedies, but they have jokes, something DC fans get so angry about.

According to what I read, “Holmes & Watson” sputtered because it had jokes that weren’t funny and was built on a formula that’s starting to wear out its welcome. It’s got nothing to do with whether the humor was offensive or anything. Tastes in humor and films change overtime and this is a sign that things need to change so anything similar doesn’t happen in the future. Of course this is all from what other people think, maybe it could be different for me when I watch the film and judge it for myself.
 
The point is, comedy is not dying just because of one film or even a few other ones. It’ll continue to thrive and change like it has for years. Just relax, Aaron, nothing is going to happen.

I haven’t seen it, so I won’t judge, but it sure seems like the majority of people think it falls flat and doesn’t work as a comedy because of its tired formula, like ILM said.

An unpopular opinion that I posted on another thread 18 days ago but nobody paid attention:
 
Lionsgate needs to stop with the 2D-only release rhetoric for tentpole films.
 
Power Rangers flopped and now Robin Hood flopped because of that. And the fact that they released MLP only in 2D made the “2D animated film released only in 2D” curse happen with Warner Bros. and the Teen Titans GO! Movie and Disney with Mary Poppins Returns (even though it’s a live-action film but the animation sequences are 2D). Not to mention the curse made Paramount change the animation style for the third SpongeBob film from 2D to fully CGI.
 
They should learn from Disney now that Infinity War made a big hit because it’s released in 2D and 3D.

SO there’s this movie on Netflix that is really weird called “The Lobster”.
 
The premise of it is that people who are single are hunted down because it’s against the law in this world to be single.
 
if they get captured they are then taken to this hotel where they are given 45 days to find themselves a romantic partner. If they fail to become a couple within the 45 days, they are then transformed into an animal.

Sony has announced a new Ghostbusters film, this time it’s connected to the original and hopefully will ignore the 2016 film that not only it damaged the franchise, but also damaged equality, diversity, and future female-driven films in general (except Wonder Woman) for everyone. The film will be directed by Jason Reitman (Ivan Reitman’s son and director of Juno and The Front Runner) with Gil Kenan and Reitman writing the film.
 
Not sure if it’s gonna be a sequel they planned for years or a spin-off related to the first classic 2 films, but if this is made to fix the franchise and makes Sony learned from past mistakes, I’m game for it.

Seen it, sent the video to my dad, can’t wait.

So I just saw “Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse” and damn was it a great movie. I loved almost everything about it, though my only complaint was that there were some parts that went way too fast. Overall, I loved it.

I saw that a few weeksago, was really good

I’m gonna watch “Glass” soon, but before I do, I watched the first two films of the trilogy: “Unbreakable” and “Split”. The latter I enjoyed more than the former, but both had the same problem of having scenes that went for an uncomfortably long time. I’m not that much of a film critic, but I don’t think that’s how you create suspense, Shyamalan.

I forgot to write this a few weeks ago, but I saw “Glass” in theaters and that was certainly a movie. What the fuck was that ending, Shyamalan?!
