That’s another good one. Phil Anselmo of Pantera also comes to mind, having replaced the band’s original lead singer, Terry Glaze, during their early glam metal years. (He’s also rarely acknowledged, since Pantera fans don’t talk about the band’s, ahem, humble beginnings.)

I feel so horribly sorry for those grunge fans who watched the movie Pan for the first time.

From what I’ve gathered, it’s now their biggest song. Their previous biggest song was “Under And Over It” from 2011.
 
About the song itself, it’s a cover (of course) of a blues rock song from 1998: “Blue On Black” by The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. It’s a bizarre metal/country hybrid song, but the one that’s on the Hot 100 is a remix version featuring Kenny Wayne himself, former bro country artist Brantley Gilbert and you’re NEVER gonna believe this: BRIAN MAY of Queen! I’m not making this up. Just when I thought 2019 couldn’t surprise me even more, it keeps proving me wrong. XD

Mike Patton for Faith No More comes to mind.

That one part of the 80’s that no one remembers, the soft rock and folk songs from the first years of the decade like Dan Fogelberg, Little River Band, Paul Davis and Bob Seger is actually pretty good and it’s the type of music you put on where you’re sitting on your back porch at night sipping tea while the fireflies are out and about. It’s too bad that the only thing people remember from that time in music is Air Supply.

Why do I get this feeling like some of Ghost’s ‘Nameless Ghouls’ secretly have Metallica members.

Okay, time for an update. Now we have The Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry, George Strait, Fall Out Boy, Five Finger Death Punch, Lee Brice, Brian May of Queen, Nipsey Hussle, Avicii, Aventura and Billy Ray Cyrus. This is just the first half of 2019, lord knows what will happen for the second half.

He is, it’s that he has a song called “SOS” which entered the chart last week. It even features Aloe Blacc, the singer from his monster hit “Wake Me Up”

Okay, I really did not like ToddInTheShadows recent TrainWreckords video. I felt like he was acting way too harsh on Lauryn and the whole idea of MTV Unplugged in general. Based off of the snippets he played of the album, it does sound pretty bad I agree, but my god did he unfairly go into town on it. It’s also bad considering that Lauryn is a mentally ill woman who suffers from huge anxiety and the whole review just felt uncomfortable. Also, MTV Unplugged has done great performances (Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Mariah Carey) and while I’m glad he admitted his bias, he completely let it cloud his judgement.
 
So yeah, not my favorite review from Todd, maybe the next TrainWreckords can be better.

I have another guilty pleasure: I love flamenco music.
