“how bad marvel comics are” thing isn’t new people are movement out there that kinda takes to a more extreme direction started in 2016 they have been mostly limited to Twitter & YouTube that’s basically been bashing Marvel for basically not doing same old Same old stuff that they don’t consider traditional despite some of the stuff being apart comics since medium birth & throughing one long hissfit(won’t name for right now) the Comic Press has role in this despite not touching this for right now they have planted the ground work for this & how divided it has become my previous post previous post points out how Comic press reacts & how some of them handle things & how they turn a blind eye to number of things despite it being partly there fault

Despite how bad Marvel comics can get, at least some of them are quite good. The problem is that the ones that are good aren’t as advertised or well-known. The ones that are on the other hand are now filled with weird shit that no one wants, like politics for example.

there all great titles really the moment I am speaking of wants to give some of them a bad rap I just because something is not for you doesn’t mean it should be labeled as bad I mean sure marvel has there share of bad books but just because one title isn’t doing what traditional doesn’t mean its bad its just doing something different unfortunately good chuck of long time comic fan’s normally hate anything that’s different or trys to move away from traditional superheroes

also Politics has been apart of comic since Captain America punching Hitler to Watchmen to now Comic & Politics are intertwined specially after Watchmen success in 80’s were industry basically cross pointed no return besides Marvel was made to feel like world outside your widow just with Super heroes involved & that involves politics weather you like it or not

I can’t believe some DC fanboys really think that Marvel paid off movie critics to bash DC movies…

>putting Marvel from almost a century ago under the same standard

Dude, no. Just no. Back then, Marvel being political was related to an actual WAR. You know, the one where people die. It not only acted as propaganda, but also as a motivator and a way to fund the military.

Times have changed since then. Marvel comics are entertainment now, not a political message board.

That’s like saying “Oh, the Persians had slaves” and saying that it’s fine to do it now.

dude first that was just an example how long Comics & Politics have been tied to each other second even after WW2 marvel was still very political Secret Empire[original one not event] delt with Captain America dealing with fallout from Water gate so yes politics has always played role even in times of no war and its hard to not be political with characters like Black Panther since T’Challa is a king everything he does has political ripple effect of some kind so yes politics & comics have always been intertwined specially with marvel so yes

“Captain America: Civil War” was very political in nature too with the whole Superhuman Registration Act

so yes its fine to do it now because they have always done it from WW2 to now

Yes, Civil War was in fact political.

Fictional political. That’s the key difference. We’re fine with politics made for the fiction like racism in X-men, but we are not fine with modern-day current politics.

I don’t see difference since financial politics is heavily influence by the politics that happening in real life to begin with so bring the current modern politics seems to be natural evolution of that specially with Marvel since one of its main goal was to make it feel like world outside your widow just with Superheroes & that includes touching on current modern day real life politics since politics plays big role on what happens world outside your widow

not really in issues #7-10 it basically dealt with racism Gwenpool took on Vincent a rich white guy who was basically racist to super powered people because he thinks them being accepted is not normal and wanted world full of normal regular people but kinda became a hypocrite when the dude he hired to get reed of them was M.O.D.O.K then found to be bigger one when we found out in issue #8 that his a Doombot and we find out his anything but an average joe infact hypocrisy part is even pointed out in issue #9 in a panel when Vincent to Mr.Mason were Mason says quote “HMPH just look at these Mutants Terrifying then Vincent says “I don’t understand are they not different from humanity much like I AM? & you do not fear me.” & then in conclusion in issue #10 in last pages when his hypocrisy is found out to public so that’s wrong the book has tackled politics
