Well the thing is, Magical Mystery Cure, the season 3 finale, was actually written to be the series finale according to Larson, but Hasbro told them to keep going with the series after how profitable it was.

I feel alot more lenient on the series now that I know when it’s set to end.
 
Most of the time, when I get angry about something the show does, it’s about it’s ability to tell future stories.
 
“No, now there’s all these good tales we can’t tell.” or “Oh, what will this do to future plotlines?”
 
But now, all that mythical ‘potential’ we squawked about for years is nearly gone. They’ll be no more ‘maybe next season’ for us.

I mean, pretty much all the major plot threads have already wrapped up. One of these days, I’m going to make a big, elaborate timeline of when the show’s various plot threads and mysteries were established, and when they were resolved.
 
As someone who’s been watching since “Call of the Cutie”, it’s mind boggling to think that:  
Trixie is a recurring character.  
Princess Luna got a character arc, and the show actually went to an appropriately dark place for it.  
The Cutie Mark Crusaders actually got their marks.  
Rarity has a fashion empire.  
Rainbow Dash is in The Wonderbolts.  
Fluttershy managed to conquer her shyness.  
We know about Applejack’s parents.  
We know where The Elements of Harmony came from.  
We’ve seen The Griffon Kingdom, and Rainbow Dash made up with Gilda.  
We actually got a Weird Al episode.  
We got to find out who Moondancer is.  
They addressed Scootaloo’s disability.  
Rainbow Dash adopted Scootaloo as her sister.  
Derpy canonically delivers the mail and likes muffins.  
The names “Lyra”, “Bon Bon”, and “DJ Pon3” are official.  
We actually got a movie.  
We actually got big, exciting two-parters.
 
And this is just stuff teased in Season One. I remember a time when the show actually delivering on The Grand Galloping Gala was a big deal. So it’s not like the show ended before delivering.

In all honesty, I’m not surprised. After that FCC BS to end Net Neutrality, my internet has been sluggish at the best of times, both on my phone and for my cable service. I’m shelling out $$$ for 200mbps connection and I’ll be damned if those pricks throttle me to 25mbps with a 1GB data cap lest I shell out $500 more for a simple 100mbps plan with a 10GB data cap.

I feel like I should mention, in case anyone was worried: looks like things with that project are going to turn out a lot better than expected.
 
It turns out the teacher wasn’t even here today, so we get an extra day to work on stuff.
 
Plus, my groupmates did eventually pull through and finish their part, so we can actually get it done now. And I’m in a much better mood now (i.e. I can actually look at the damn thing without feeling so stressed I want to cry).
