At least the US has its atrocities documented in history books. (Granted, this has been a fairly recent development, but it’s not like we haven’t acknowledged it.)
 
Also, claiming that Turkey “neither confirms nor denies” the Armenian Genocide is rather inaccurate.

Turkey still hasn’t even done that. And at this point, it’s been over a century since the Armenian Genocide happened, so I honestly doubt they ever will.
 
Though they really should, especially since the Armenian Genocide was allegedly a big part of the inspiration for Hitler’s Holocaust…

Turkey has outright denied that the Armenian genocide occurred. Nevermind the atrocities against greeks and other minorities back when they were the Ottoman empire.

Didn’t Japan acknowledge the whole Nanking incident? I remember the Prime Minister apologizing in public.
 
Though, the Nanking people then demanded compensation, which of course Japan refused. An apology was all they were going to give.

Also for the record that “mass genocide” of the natives was NOT at the hands of the U.S. if you can even call it that. Over 90%+ of native americans died from disease. Smallpox, and other diseases that the Europeans did not even realize they had brought over until it was too late. Oh and another thing is when did the deaths of those millions happen? Before even the first colony in north America was even made.

the sin of the father should not be passed on to the son. That leads to bad things. Like what would happen if reparations were mandated for all the descendant of slaves in the U.S. and the people whose families owned slaves in the past had to pay those reparations? Do you know what would happen if that was implemented? Mass protest and civil unrest.
