It’s a blessing and a curse for me. My autism is what helped me get heavily invested in the things I’m interested in. I have aspergers, so I don’t know how bad standard autism is, if that’s what you guys are talking about. I’m still socially and emotionally autistic, and I get pretty lonely if I can’t talk to my best friend for more than a few days.

Oh definitely. I have aspergers too and I value and appreciate my passion for the things I like along with my imagination. Just wish it didn’t come with the side effect of social skills comparable to a damp rock.

I sometimes wonder if I’m on the spectrum.

I have Asperger’s as well and it’s the reason for my music obsession and my love for it. That’s pretty much the only blessing for me while the curse is that I had a very hard time making friends in high school, making me look like an introverted loner.

Oh fuck yes, I’m a music nerd too. But yeah, high school was also difficult for me in terms of social skills. Even the friends I did have I wasn’t 100% comfortable with.

I did manage to make some table buddies and they were all fine, it’s that after high school, I lost contact with almost all of them.

I’ve accidentally hidden my user folder. And tomorrow, I might have to fix back to normal.

For starter’s we put a man on the moon. We invented the modern-day computer, we were responsible for the proliferation of the internet, we brought automobiles to the general public, we invented the airplane, we invented rock and roll, we invented the telephone…  
I could go on and on.

I’m stuck in a life situation that’s so bad I wouldn’t even wish it on my worst enemy…

Okjökull is the first Icelandic glacier to be lost due to climate change.
 
While it wasn’t the largest glacier by any means, its loss is a sign of things to come.
 
The more glaciers that melt, the faster the sea levels will rise. Nearly 2 billion people are in the path of rising waters over the next 50 to 100 years or so.
 
Some island nations may be wiped from the map entirely.
 
Humanity is on a dangerous path. We need to proceed carefully. The next 20 years may define humanities destiny.
