Thank you to everyone who submitted their OCs! The deadline is about three hours from the time of writing, though as always I’m opening an extended deadline for any late submissions.

I’ve had a lot of people ask about late submissions. As always, there will be a window for late submissions. The extended deadline is one week from today:

You can continue to submit images just by uploading them and tagging them with the 2023 community collab tag. There’s no need to post in this thread or PM me - anything tagged before that date and time will automatically be accepted.

Given the extension, I’m open to helping out if anyone needs their OC done or a sketch vectored out. I can do show style stuff, and given the time constraints, just one character per image and no crazy accessories / clothes. I can probably handle 3-4.

Thought I’d double check to make sure my piece is okay, by a member of staff. I had someone (thats not a staff member) complain about it being “too small/short” because it was a few pixels below the minimum height. Unfortunately the program I use does not use a ruler or way to tell “how tall” your pixels are I can only tell when I’ve finished and uploaded it to the site. I can only estimate how much it is but then again I can’t always get it correct. I don’t think there’s a way possible to edit it to be “bigger” without editing the whole piece- A thing I do not have much time to do as I’d have to completely redo the lineart & colouring.

I personally don’t think it being a few pixels short is going to be that much of a deal as it will be made smaller anyway on the finale collab piece. If its such a major issue, I’ll try and see if I can get some spare time to redo it to be a bit bigger but I’d rather a member of staff clarify if its that important to fix first.

It’s not so much that it’s a problem to fix, but more that when the whole image is coming together it’s a lot easier for Joey if things are more plug-and-play.

Also, weird things start to happen when the outlines for characters are all significantly different thicknesses, which can happen if you start scaling some things down, and others up … it makes the ones that started smaller look really odd sometimes.

We can wait for Joey to weigh in, and if it is too small I can edit it.

I didn’t complain, I pointed out how small the image is. If the image is 688 pixels tall, then it means every pony in it is way below the 800 pixel height requirement (or suggestion, actually).

I just want to take a moment and thank you for the work you are doing to help everyone get their OCs ready for the collab. Especially where sizes and transparency are concerned, your comments are one of the things I watch for when looking for submissions that need help with a relatively fast tweak.

Folks should not be complaining about the help you give, especially considering how much time you are volunteering to help people get their submissions ready.

I’ve got a few pics of some of my friends ocs that may be late due to the artists doing the pics being busy/going through personal things and may not be done in time fir the deadline.

Would those pics still be allowed as long as I tag them correctly and post them here?
