I see, well that’s very thoughtful of you. I really do appreciate it.
 
My favourite kinds of Dazzling pictures are ones that keep them looking like teenage girls/sirens and that look accurate to the movie. Not really a fan of pictures that add exaggerated features that were never there to begin with in the first place.
 
It’s nicely drawn, I like the colours they’ve used.

I haven’t seen your art mind you, but I’d definitely love to see the Dazzlings with him, whether they’re shipped with him or he’s their dad or something.

40Kponyguy did a picture of the Dazzlings with Stephen Magnet and someone cheekily commented he was their dad. I’m not against the idea :P

I started cleaning up and thinning out my lines so my art doesn’t look messy. Hopefully this is a step forward for my drawings. Question, do you guys think I should stick with black outlining or try coloring the lines to match the show?

All I can suggest is, try a couple of pictures using both styles, and pick the one you’re happier with.  
It really is down to personal preference.  
It’s far easier to use black lining when doing traditional art like I do, (I don’t think anything else would be practical with my own style of drawing).  
Just remember when doing outlines in colour, use a darker shade of the fill colour.

I’d probably just draw the three of them stood with him. Actually shipping them is asking for flak from those that don’t like it.
 
I think I’ll add this to my ‘To-Do’ list, which isn’t very full at the moment.

I think I’m okay with stuff like this when it’s realistically proportioned, and not blatantly trying to draw attention to…. things.

I’ve always preferred them with clothes on. I’ve never found swimsuits/bikins attractive. I take much more of an interest in The Dazzlings personalities instead of their appearance. Without those they would be nothing more than three cool looking characters.
 
I don’t have anything against people who draw them like that, they’re all very talented artists, it’s just not the way I see it is all.

I think you should stick with the black outlines, they really suit your style of drawing and they make your pictures stand out.

I agree with @BlazingDazzlingDusk, especially since colored outlines are a pain to do. Believe me, I’ve tried them.

As a (I presume straight) girl, you wouldn’t appreciate those sort of pictures like I would.  
(If I showed that to my missus’ younger sister, she’d like it).
 
It’s fine. I understand why such portrayal doesn’t appeal to you.

Not bad at all. Simple, clean but effective style.
 
I may be a short while with my current comic page. They take a lot of drawing, (and generally get a low score here to boot).  
May do a quick doodle in the meantime though. Not going anywhere.  
I check the messages here several times a day.

With that said, I’m going to to try and smooth out the outlines next time. I also want to work on the eyes a bit, make them contrast a little better with the rest of the drawing.

Thanks, It actually is my favorite image that I’ve done. It’s just so much cleaner and a lot more presentable. I also think I’m going to practice a little more on making my stuff look a little less flat.

You’re very welcome and it’s awesome! To add more depth to your drawings I suggest adding grey or light blue around the edges of the white areas of the picture e.g. the eyes.

That’s probably a good idea. When I make fanart, I used to use the Brush tool in Photoshop until I learned how to used the Freeform Pen tool, which made my lines a lot smoother and my art a lot more pleasant to look at.

Though there’s also very little art of Zippoorwhill, so that might also have something to do with it.

Thanks. I’ve admittedly gotten a little down, I feel that a lot of people might not like my art, but in the end, it really is my own opinion that counts, right?

I like to think along the lines of, ‘draw what you want to see’. If others like it, that’s a bonus.
 
That said, seeing something you’ve produced getting a positive reaction from the fandom is also good, and helps your morale.

True. And yeah, that’s probably a better outlook. You should take some of what others have to say in consideration. I think with me, there are just some douchebags who downvoted all 4 versions of the pic as soon as I uploaded them without leaving a comment, so I don’t have to take their opinions with anything more than a grain of salt. :3

I wouldn’t worry about 2-3 downvotes. I’m pretty sure there’s a couple of people on here that just downvote everything. (Trolls in other words).
