lol I have several of my earlier works hidden because I can’t stand to look at them. But yeah, no one starts out great.  
If I improved from mine literally anyone can get better.

Well, I was looking now at your gallery and wow, your progress really it’s outstanding; though I get why some people decides to leave, you need to like enough to draw to accept how your stuff is looking like and have the necessary patience to improve, which can last years, though always to see the improvement it’s a rewarding sensation, at least, in my opinion.
 
I have worse but, this is some of my progress as well (I can’t stand to look at the transparency in the eyes). Even if I don’t like that Hippie Rarity, I’m still proud of it, because, at least in that time, I felt that it was something good and it’s just part of what I have to pass through.
 

 
Now I feel proud, though maybe in a few years when I see that Luna I’m going to think: “in what I was thinking? This now is horrible”; oh, the beautiful road of improvement.

Quick question to artists: If the reference of a pony is from front-left 3/4 view, and you are about to draw the pony from front-right 3/4 view, do you simply flip the mane horizontally or you draw it slightly differently?

I try to avoid flipping manes unless the show does it with the character consistently or there’s no other reference available

Usually no one seriously cares about that kind of stuff imo.  
I can easily flip it horisontally unless there are texts or something else by looking at what we can tell that the mane is flipped for no reason in short amount of time.
 
But if you feel like it you can get known by being more original and attentive to details than the rest.
 
A-a-and… If you and pony owner aim for realism then they will usually won’t mind slight changes to the style.

I guess you are right. Most people won’t notice those.  
In this specific case I’m drawing my own oc, which means there isn’t any reference for mane style unless I go and make some. Should I just be lazy and flip the mane when drawing it from the opposite direction or should I figure out how it should actually look like?

Personally I’d work out how it should look, rather than flipping it, unless it’s overly complex. (Rarity and Sunset spring to mind there).

I usually just flip, but sometimes I recreate the mane from the opposite side depending on the style.

I got a little notepad today. There was one blank useless page, decided to work my magic on it.

I don’t like to look at ‘popular’ artist counts as not only do I don’t like most of them, I don’t like to compare numbers as I have an inferiority complex. :v

Currently my own watchers is at 126. (Admittedly one of those is myself; easier to check how my latest doodle’s done if it’s right there at the bottom of the front page).
 
I know a few of those that were watching my tag don’t frequent Derpibooru any more,.
