Hmm, I’ve been feeling rather confident with headshots lately but want to do more like full bodies and shading.
 
For shading, in the past what I’d usually do is make a copy of the character I want to shade, merge all the layers, then color it the color of the shade, then erase or move as needed.
 
For fullbodies, the closest thing I have to a full body that isn’t a base edit, would be my ask blog art.
 
Any tips would be great! :D (Oh and I did install Inkscape the other night so I’ll also give vectoring a try soon™)

I was actually thinking of drawing her as a draught excluder in Twilight’s Castle whilst Twily’s reading or something.
 
Mind, object ponies are usually your forte aren’t they?
 
(For those that don’t know about those things, they were like really long plushie things, usually filled with beads or something so they didn’t move. You put them across the bottom of a door so the wind didn’t blow under it when said door had a poor seal. Since the advent of plastic doors they’ve kind of disappeared).

Hey, so to any of y’all who make art for print… how do you manage to do so without going insane?
 
I did a test print of the drawing I made for a zine I’ve been working on, it looks fantastic on my computer, but when I print it all the dark colors are turning out muddy.

I can’t really say anything as I’ve just gotten some of my art (and commissions) printed on pillows and blankets for myself and I just deal with it not looking perfect lol.

Fair. It’s just, like, how do people deal with CMYK? How do people work in a universe where the top color is somehow darker than the bottom color?
