Eh, I tend to do some digging because there are certain gems not on my watched list and I might miss something if I’m away or not signed in.
 
(Nice to see this thread active, I might post more of my thoughts here in the future.)

An associate of mine requested both Sunny and Luna versions of Cute Marble (>>1108137)  
I started Luna before realizing I’d have to make wings :S and then aborted to Sunny (>>1108290), which gave me fits with the mane and tail, so it probably didn’t save any time ;P  
Here’s what I have so far for Luna…should she be finished? Any suggestions? Obviously her mane isn’t complete, and its position needs adjustment. Mainly though, I’d like references for folded alicorn wings in a similar orientation.  
*eyelashes need adjusting too, and maybe the entire eye needs to be redone… :( Thoughts?

Looks good so far. I can’t provide any reference material. Hopefully someone else here may be able to help you there.
 
However, I could suggest a couple of points to get the wings looking like they’re in the right place.  
With the position here, you’d only need to hint at Luna’s left wing. Just a bit of a bump would suffice.  
Her right wing would attach just behind her shoulder, (roughly where that line is), and the folded wing tip would probably end somewhere around where the top of her tail meets her rump, possibly extending a little past that point.

They’re all adorable! I love them, especially the one of Sunset =) Although like you say, the eyes and eyelashes need improving.

Thanks! Did you notice the slight differences in ear and iris sizes between the two?  
Luna’s eyes, while not as crazy as Celestia’s, are definitely different from normal ponies, and will need changing.

You’re welcome =) yeah I did, and I think Luna does look a bit odd like that. Is it the same basic eye structure you’d find on characters like AJ and Dashie you used?

No problem. I need to do another quick doodle at some point this week too. Might try rattling off that Adagio triplicate pic to finish that set off.

Comparing Sunny to Marble, do the changes make things better / more cute? I’d like some feedback on that.
 
As for the current eye style, Marble was identical to the sketch and then Sunny just added another eyelash. Luna will require a complete eye redo, which I’m not looking forward to :P
 
I don’t often copy components from image to image, unless a large portion can be implemented as-is, or the part can be easily modified (ears come to mind).

I can see the more detailed eyelashes now, and I think they do look a lot better (particularly for Marble).

Hmmm….I might have heard something about her. If I remember correctly her name ended in Dusk but it doesn’t ring a bell to be honest.

Sunset does look better than Marble, although I’m a little biased there because I prefer Sunset anyway.
 
Yeah, adding the extra eyelash there was an improvement.
 
Sunset is the only character I’ve managed to scrape over the 3 figure vote threshold with besides the Dazzlings.
 

 
My recent Roseluck one did very well too. I was quite happy with this one.

Thanks. Didn’t get around to doing any drawing tonight. Ended up building the front guns for that Wonderbolts themed gunship. If I can get a couple more bits done on that, I can start painting the front of it. Need a couple of pics of Soarin and Spitfire in flight to get it how I want it. May have to draw my own pics of them for it, so something else to add to my to-do list.
 
Found one of Spitfire I may use here. I needed her facing the right of the picture, in flight, and in her Wonderbolts costume. Actually a pretty rare portrayal of her.

This is about the only one I can find here that’s even close to what I want.  
Wanted the legs in a different position, (more like Spitfire), and he’s not wearing his flying goggles here either.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s a shame that physical art isn’t as appreciated :( although putting too much stock into upvotes and favorites is probably not too good of an idea. If the art brings you joy, that should be enough. That said, upvotes and favorites can bring joy too ;) Everyone likes to be appreciated.

I was hoping I could get the model done in time for the convention next month. (It’s not likely). I’ll probably chuck the model in and fetch it anyway, regardless of what stage it’s at, but the nearer finished it is, the better.
 
I think I’ll be using the second Spitfire pic there. Soarin… It’d do, but needs tweaking. (Want him wearing the goggles).
