hello i want to ask, if i make a pony race (a type of pony that is slightly or very different from a regular pony) and i choose that they live somewhere near appaloosa and have native American influences like the buffalo, since i don’t want to have a specific native American tribe as inspiration due to worrying that i might be inaccurate or whatever, can i choose to just have influences from different native American tribes that live in a similar region as appaloosa (as in the environment) for the race (like what kind of houses do they live or the type of clothing) so i can avoid people saying “oh your inaccurate, your being offensive”?

i just want a non-specific tribe that has influences from different real-life tribes depending in what kind of living space these characters in my work have like they are a non-nematic tribe.

also this race can have many cultures due to them living in different parts of the world. so, some can be native American influences, and some can have Eruopean influences.

i just want to be sure because i saw this video saying this.
