I looked into the DNP list and found out Amarcato isn’t there. I thought he was in there. Previously his works were tagged ‘artist:php25’, but not anymore.

They were first OK with anonmizing the tag, then later requested full deletion of the anonimized tag. Their original artist tag doesn’t exist anywhere.

Amarcato. Ponykillerx, afaik, hated the fandom and show and his art and never really communicated with the english side of the fandom except to communicate that.

He was always very self critical of his art, with multiple edits and redos. As for the show and fandom, I imagine he’s one of many that did really like the show and early fandom but soured during S03. At least that’s around the time time I remember him making art and comments against the show, anyway.

I wasn’t in the fandom during Ponykiller’s prime, but whenever he showed (shows?) up on Derpi, he seemed like an ass. I’m pretty sure he had an alt alias here for a while too (which has since been wiped clean), where posted angry-seeming things.

I’m convinced he’s trolling. Angry trolling, that is.
Funny story: He made another account posing as a different artist (we’ll call the artist B), and had art under that name posted here. Naturally people recognised the artstyle and accused B of stealing from ponykillerx. I took a screenshot, but I’ve no idea where because it was 2 or 3 years ago.
One thing though was that he was really good at exposing cheaters.

Do keep in mind that a lot of artists, particularly Russian artists, are very good at mimicking others’ styles, particularly artists that are already technically good, new to a scene, and like the style of an existing artist.
I have, with my special eyes, no evidence that ponykillerx lived on as another artist on this site.

The artist tag I was thinking of is TracerHorse and the tag actually wasn’t purged, though the DA page is long gone. The themes, characters, and sometimes the art style seem consistent with his stuff, so if that wasn’t him, then whoever it was did definitely had PKX in mind.

Not sure if PKX’s account is still around, but in one of his comments, he was kind of like “Shoot, you ruined the fun” when someone told another person that TracerHorse and PKX are the same person.
I mean, the name TracerHorse man. This feels like that one prank Grievousfan pulled one time on dA.
Apparently traces of PKX art are still around in here.

The issue with Amarcato kind of died down (it’s almost unheard of unless you follow him). Amarcato did his own journal, admitting it was his own fault.
One thing to note is that he had previously deactivated his account multiple times, but this time for good. He also had multiple accounts (dA and tumblr), all of them deactivated except for one tumblr ask blog (luckily he forgot to deactivate that one).
He seemed… down. I’m sure that’s the reason behind the deletion of his multiple accounts.
