hello i wanted to ask these questions about my creatures called swamp ponies
and here are a few things about them
-they are not ponies but they evolved to look similar due to changing habitat
-they are omnivores
-they are crocodilians (as in part of the same group as alligators) but i view them as alligator-like due to living in swamps or wetlands
-they can talk and are friendly and live n family groups
-they can get territorial when it comes to land and food but are willing to share food
-before i thought of them as cold-blooded but since i see them as active they are warm-blooded
-they lay eggs
-their fins are for sexual dimorphism and (for the males) display
so now that you read that here is my question, if you know anything about crocodilians (in modern or prehistoric times) should warm-blooded crocodilian babies’ gender still to be determined by temperature or not? I’m asking because i want things to be easier without any nagging feeling of “oh what if something bad happened)
i want to make a comic that talks about the race so i can be consistent
