Okay, so as of late, I’ve been trying to get a bit of popularity with my art, because, while I mainly do it as a hobby, it would be pretty cool to see what people thought of it. As a result, I’ve been trying to better my artwork, but I always feel like it’s never good enough compared to the other artist I follow

So this is what I’ve been working on as of late, and I really want to know what’s bad, but what’s good about it. Anatomy, value, perspective, anything, I just need to know what I’m fucking up to make it look good enough.

Shading looks decent… On this particular piece, there may be some bits of proportion issues that’s what climbing the learning curve is.

Popularity is the science of understanding what people want, and that, also, require a lot of pictures browsing and ability to decipher the mechanisms of a succesful picture. Any plans with NSFW? It can get quite a few upvotes if you manage to pull the right strings.

Yeah, I can definitely see the anatomy issue in terms of Sunset’s hands, waist, and chest. Also, I am intested in doing more NSFW stuff. Not gonna lie I’m a man who loves thicc girls, and I’ve always liked drawing them. So looks like I’ll have to delve into the world of anatomy if I’m gonna do that stuff right, right?

Thicc stuff is a good idea, it seems to have quite a popularity… And anatomy would help, for sure.

Try this, and see what happens, an efficient way to progress is to get other people’s feedback and try to deduce what raises the most interest among the audience

Hands. Goddamn hands. Like me, it seems like you got trouble with them.

There is no going around it. We gotta actually deliberately practice drawing hands.

The hands got way too many articulation it’s practically as expressive as the whole figure itself. It’s also as expressive as the face.

Aaron Blaise (former Disney animator) said that if you can get the face and the hands right (no arms, just the hands alone) then you’ll convey two-third of the expression.
