Won’t surpass the popularity ceiling non-popular species have unless a very popular artist will make the work and this thing will do something lewd with a popular pony. I’m telling this from the point of view of an artist who checks if the stuff worth the time spent. When you do something new chances this thing won’t be liked, especially if you are no popular artist. So it’s not surprising people never drew this creature, not taking the chances and sticking with more “stable” source of audience attention.
