Chevy trucks, for example, used to be rock solid and hardly ever break down, at least until the 2007 model year. Then they were only fairly decent until maybe 2015 or so. (Same with Chevy cars, BTW.) That really sucks, because I used to like Chevy. My grandfather drove primarily Chevy vehicles. As far as I know, he was a Chevy brand loyalist.
