Ford canceled the Ranger in 2011, thinking everyone would buy one of their cars if they wanted a smaller vehicle. Eight years later Ford brought back the Ranger. Ten years later, Ford is releasing a truck smaller than the Ranger.
 
Ford doesn’t do long term planning.

Midsize trucks were very popular in the recent years but really it was all about bigger and more powerful american trucks for our industry.

I read that the Ultima battery tech in the Hummer will be the same as in the electric Silverado. That to me is more intriguing.

I saw somewhere the new Bronco is coming to dealerships soon for “showtime” viewings in my area of Minnesota. Finally. In 2 weeks though. It’s kinda comical. here is a link to view the “showtimes” in your area. No test-driving, just tours. Odd enough. It’s for dealership training and they are allowing people to get even more hyped up with this!

Yep! All new GM EV vehicles will have the same scalable “skateboard” Ultium battery system. The Silverado will be better for towing, maybe more efficient too since it’s not so obnoxious and heavy

I’ve been watching a few videos from Mortske Repair. He works on different old cars that have been sitting. It’s one of those “Will it run” channels, but he seems to upload frequently, and he has a dog named Duff. Here’s a video where he works on a 1964 Impala.

I wonder what the range on the electric F-150 will be while towing a modest load of around 5,000 lbs or half its rated maximum. Probably under 100 miles since the range is only 300 miles at best. I would hope the Lightning’s batteries can be upgraded as the tech improves because as it stands now, the Lightning is not suitable for towing anything more than a small trailer across town.

Right, it could be interesting to see how long it can handle 10,000 lb. before it overheats. That’s a massive load and the truck is hardly aerodynamic. it’s beautiful though, I love the wheel choice on the EV models
 

 
It’s a better choice for most American families when they rarely tow

Now I got a clue on how big the real Raptor is. We brought one here in my country and placed it side by side on our market Raptor.

I wanted a brand new Mazda6 sedan at one point. Damn this never-ending CUV fad.
