Thanks for update
And I’ve been reflecting my behavior recently, It’s been too extreme and I sincerely apologize this time and I have a secret that I’ve kept for awhile
I’ve never really hated the EU, They’re not perfect and definitely have their flaws, But they are nowhere near as authoritarian as Russia or China
I wanted to get that off my chest because I am really sorry about my overly-angry behavior

STOP KOSA!
Just want you all to keep informing people you know in the EU to vote out who supported the Directive and plans to run again.

So Russia just passed a law that gives the government the power to cut Russia off from the World Wide Web
But will other countries follow suit?, Or do they know well that Russia is an authoritarian state?

Just figured it out, those articles are referring to the so called “Splintering of the World Wide Web” (Means different laws set that country’s web apart from others)

Pretty much the latter.

I’ll go with the 2nd one because places like the US and EU (Yes, Even after A13) both know Russia is very authoritarian

That was to expect. With Article 13 passed, it is just a logical consequence that the EU would adjust other laws that contradict it. But when Article 13 is stopped, the alteration of these laws will stop, too, cause Article 13 is the literally only reason why the EU attempts to alter them.

Sorry to come back but this is interesting
I heard Italy messed up in the translating process, But luckily someone caught it very early and it looks likely that Italy will fix the error

The European Parliament elections are happening, don’t forget to vote for the MEPs who are against Article 13 (now Article 17)! The election is today in the UK and in the Netherlands, the rest of the EU countries vote on Sunday.

There is still a chance to influence the EU’s plans and to save us from this horrendous new attempt to censor the Internet. Lots of MEPs across all the EU countries are against Article 13 (now Article 17) and if they are voted into the European Parliament, they can create a new legislation that gets rid of Article 13 (now Article 17) again.

Here is a list of MEPs that voted for amendments to Article 13 (now Article 17) and who are against upload filters:

https://juliareda.eu/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/copyrightvote.pdf

And here is a spreadsheet specifically for the UK, that shows all UK MEPs that voted for Article 13 (now Article 17):

Explanation for the first link: + contains the names of those against Article 13 (now Article 17). Search for your MEPs under + and vote for them and their parties to make it into the EU parliament where they can crush and destroy the EU’s plans to censor the Internet!
