I wonder what they actually mean by “exterminations” in this show. I don’t think that Alastor is telling the whole truth about the full extent punishment in hell. Plus, Charlie’s partner/girlfriend talks about being erased in one point in the first episode. It really makes me wonder…  
What I’m pointing at is like in some teachings of Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, and the tenets of the Ancient Egyptian religion, the soul can literally die and end up obliterated/fade into oblivion (In the case of the Ancient Egyptian afterlife, those that reach the domain of Osiris and fail the weighing test get eaten up by a large beast). In other words, if your soul goes through enough damage, you completely cease to exist aka ERASED from existence permanently; no feelings no consciousness no senses at all, nothing but complete darkness with no sound, sight or other senses. And just because Angel Dust said “face it you’re stuck with me” doesn’t automatically invalidate my point. He very well could be ignorant about the part about being erased.

Exterminations in the show are like the movie the Purge, only it’s carnage first, looting later.

I don’t think the lore is completely nailed down at this point, but what I’ve heard/read so far is that being erased/exterminated means you completely cease to exist as an individual and sort of fade into the background radiation. The thing is, that’s not that easy to do. Angel’s Tommy guns, Cherri’s explosives, Pentious’s death ray, and even Alastor’s Eldritch summoning don’t ultimately do any permanent harm to a demon, they just incapacitate them for some length of time. To actually kill a demon, you need an angelic weapon, like Vaggie’s or the assassins’ spears from the opening. The only way to get those is if one of these guys:  
 
drops one during their yearly extermination.

That…kinda makes sense. It explains the extermination a lot too, through Hazbin we see Demons undergo punishment that would normally kill a human which leads one to believe why an extermination is necessary when it seems like seemingly everyday there’s an extermination. The answer is that none of that sticks other than having an angel’s Weapon

Nah, just a funny comic I found. My Tumblr feed is flooded with Charlastor stuff, and occasionally some Lucifer vs Alastor.

We all know that Angel Dust said stuff along lines of “Oooh ooh ooh” and said “kinky” when Sir Pentious used the word “cocky”. But what if Sir Pentious got a direct hit at him with an energy whip?
