Are you creating a show/game/comic, but are stuck and need help? Well this is the thread for you!
 
Basically, if you need help, summarize the project, and detail the problem you need solving.

I’m currently designing my next character for my project.

Gender: Female

Clothing: A black catsuit, slip-on shoes, long black hair
 
I need help fine-tuning her outfit and personality.

Okay, so. Is she co-starring alongside the wolf girl you’d mentioned? If so, I’d imagine you’d want a contrasting personality. Work from there.

Well, none of the characters have a job. The story behind Season 1 is that an attack on their town causes a group of 5 to go and stop the mastermind behind it.
 
I won’t reveal much about Fumiko, because spoilers, but she starts the series off as a spy working for her adopted mother, and is sent to accompany Sarah and friends. She becomes friends with the group following episode 4.

I guess what I meant by “job” is, in a broader sense, what’s each person’s role in the group?

Well Sarah’s the brawler and the heart of the group.
 
Fumiko is the swordwielder.
 
Takashi is the brains.
 
Mika is the gunwielder.
 
And Jaiden is the edgelord loner.

Man, you got some anime naming theme going on there like…it’s either basic english names or basic japanese names. How about spice it up a lil with e x o t i c names?
 
For example my full real name means:
 
“Special Gift [from my parents to the world], Firstborn son, Seed of Benefit” I am not joking.
 
It’s basically a prayer that goes: “may our first son be a gift that brings benefit to this world” and lemme tell you: it depresses the shit out of me because I been anything but beneficial to anybody.
 
Maybe have your characters have ironic names like that. Name them “Brightest Star” but they dark and edgy af.

Some of us are better at naming characters than others. I still confuse a number of people with Al, who some think is named “Ai” and who one or two have even mistaken for being a boy.

Also, if your wondering, Sarah’s inspired by Natsu Dragneel with some Twilight Sparkle mixed in for variety.

Got a visual novel I’m working on. Themes: Sci-fi, romance, arc-driven.
 
Plot: In the not-too-distant-but-definitely-post-COVID-19-future, humanity embarks on its first mission to Mars. You play as Jess, the ship’s main pilot, and are selected for the mission along with with strict mission commander Eleanor, laid-back engineer Alicia, eccentric science officer Pepper, and timid medic Erin. During the course of the mission, you bond with each other as you brave the depths of space; depending on your choices, there are different routes for Eleanor, Alicia, Pepper, and Erin.
 
It’s an open-ended visual novel that’s kind of about interpersonal relationships, trauma and mental disorders, and how loneliness can take a toll on people in different ways. Think kinda like Katawa Shoujo, only with fewer disabilities and set in space. What do y’all think?

There is! It’s going to be a yuri VN at its core but it just happens to be set in space. Depending on which arc you pursue, you (Jessie) can be paired up with either Eleanor, Alicia, Pepper, and Erin. And before you ask why they’re all girls, it’s actually explained in-universe. ;)
 
As for your show… hmm. It’s difficult to pitch a series to a network, so I’d suggest keeping it as a web series for now.

On the other hand, you can still do a pitch for it, if nothing else. One of my good friends did a pitch for a series he came up with, and it got a significant amount of attention.

Frankly, in this day and age where the internet somehow made African Coffin Dance viral without the help of a big network…yea you’re better off creating a webseries. Patreon, Kickstarter or even Fantia or Ci-en (japanese crowdfunding platforms).

It’s likely gonna be a web series, unless Adult Swim offers to air the show and let me keep the rights to it. But that likely won’t happen.
