Masters of The Universe and She-Ra

Why am I suddenly seeing people saying Adora and Catra were sisters?  
For the new show,they’re definitely close,so I guess? Adopted sisters,in a way.  
But no,I’m seeing people saying this about the original show.  
I think there was a reference or two about Shadow Weaver raising them,but they definitely did not have the close relationship the Netflix versions do.  
All I can guess is people are confusing various elements,and probably haven’t seen the show in a long time,and their memories are mixing things up.  
Adora is the sister of Adam, He-man. She had a close friend who remained in the Horde. Catra, was a former teammate of her in the horde,These,along with the new show’s focus on Catra have created a completely new narrative in the faulty minds of some.  
It’s also important to note Adora wasn’t even from the same dimension as Catra,who was a member of a race native to the dimension the series was set in.

Anyway, like you said, the original show was pretty clear about that. And the new show certainly isn’t keeping that stuff behind a curtain. Sure, sisters in that they were raised together, by the same person, but … adopted? More like abducted.

Yeah,this is definitely one of the oddest things I’ve come across. I’ve seen plenty of negative critisicm towards the new show,some of it is justified,most of it comes from personal taste,but then there was this,which was just too weird not to talk about.

Someone watched She-ra with their mother.  

Came across this:  
Got me thinking about how similar this is to the 2002 He-man,and how he was more like a separate entity than a power up for Adam.  
Also I happened across this: He-man was trying to push a liberal agenda, obviously. Clearly this show is meant to imply darker skin is better.  
I’m joking. But it’s interesting to wonder how people would react to the older shows were they to be done now.

I have no idea what the story is here.

Man,the origins line is looking cool. Hoping they Branch out into other parts of the franchise. Some New Adventures characters,the comics,the ‘87 movie,2002,the new She-ra,since it’s relevant and people want toys! Those Target exclusive dolls are too limited,and they go for outrageous amounts secondhand.

I like that there’s a little 2002 influence in there.
