Listened to all of Midnight Oil’s singles discography, I just found my second favorite one hit wonder band after a-ha. The majority of this band’s stuff is really stellar even if most of the songs are about left wing Australian politics. One thing I sadly can say is by the late 90’s, this band’s quality dropped hard which honestly shocked me cause for about two decades, they’ve been pumping out banger after banger. All in all, really great worthwhile band.

Midnight Oil are good, but when it comes to the somewhat less obvious (non AC/DC) Australian bands, I like Rose Tattoo and Cold Chisel more

I enjoy Cancer Culter by Decapitated it reminds me how much i hate Cancel Culter to f**k

More that they tried to change their sound to try and become Shirley Manson/Garbage wannabees with the singles from their 1998 tenth album. It’s this awful loud techno rock sound that doesn’t work for this kind of band which ironically started as a loud post-punk band. Thankfully, the singles from their next and last album returned back to just simple rock, but it was more okay than anything.

This verse either just made me laugh, hurt, cringe, or got mad but oof… that poor dude got roasted when he was a kid tho.

Song is decent for her standards but I just wish one of her better songs from before reached number one like Va Va Voom or The Night Is Still Young
