Two artists that come to mind for me: almost anything from Opeth (but in particular the span of albums from Morningrise through Ghost Reveries).

Also, Warforged’s “I: Voice”, that’s a hell of an album for Halloween (especially the title track).

Also, the bassline from Sadeness is one of the most remixed bassline ever here and probably elsewhere in the world.

I just gave that song a listen (I wasn’t really familiar with it before). I think it’s pretty groovy!
A bit weird, but in a good way - a “funky” way. It’s what I would call kind of an ambient/world music hybrid

Ah yes, that’s a good one! Unfortunately, that and Poundcake are the only ones from the album that I know… I’m still more privy to the DLR era

I just found my go-to artist whenever I want to relax and get high: Asher Roth, especially his later stuff. The same guy who gave us the 2009 rap hit I Love College would afterwards make some pretty good lo-fi type rap music, the same kind you’d hear on Adult Swim late at night. Not all of it works for me, but I enjoyed it far more than his one big Billboard hit. From now on when I get a bong and smoke my worries away, I’ll put on his albums Retrohash and Flowers On The Weekend
