Glad you made it though.

I think the experience of Everywhere at The End of Time would benefit from being an hour-and-a-half to two hours. I get that it was originally released as six separate albums, but I think two hour is enough time to get emotionally invested in the experience without having to dedicate a quarter of an entire day to it. I ended up skipping to the next section once I felt like I had the gist of it.

Okay this mass buying is really starting to get on my nerves.
 
Right now, the two most popular songs are Butter by BTS and Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo and the former is only bigger than the latter because the ARMYs are mass buying and mass streaming the song just to keep it at the top even though Olivia’s song is much popular in iTunes sales and on radio. It seems like more people nowadays are becoming chart watchers and exploiting the inner workings of Billboard just so they can have their favorite song do well, and it just does more harm than good. The BTS stans just want their songs to stay at the top cause typical K-Pop fan attitude and is just encouraging this behavior of exploiting Billboard to get what they want. I also think that they’re using some kind of bots to jack up the YouTube views and the song streams to artificially inflate the count numbers, which feels illegal. It honestly reminds me of the payola scandals of the 50’s and 60’s where record labels would literally pay radio stations to play songs just so they can have their songs on the charts.
 
Billboard seriously needs to do something about this cause a lot of the points and data seem fake and artificially inflated and again, it encourages this terrible behavior among those who want their favorite songs on top of the charts. K-Pop fans in general has always had a negative reputation, but this really isn’t helping their image.

It’s very possible K-Pop stans are rigging the system when it comes to Billboard. I wouldn’t put it past them. And to an extent, not super surprising.

I don’t understand why some famous metal bands do their songs in d tuning when they play it live.

Bots do indeed seem to abused a lot these days, whether from big corporations or outside parties. Greed and the need to cheat one’s way to the top is certainly nothing new

Yeah it sucks since places like Youtube and Twitch already have problems with bots artifically inflating stuff like views and streams and now using it for Billboard is just a shitty thing to do from anyone who’s so desperate to get their favorite song to the top

Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus has cancer.

Man, I can’t believe we slept on a-ha throughout the 80’s. I was listening to some select songs from them and I can see why Europe and especially their home country loves these guys, their music is seriously legit. Their other songs that didn’t become hits are really great synthpop with well constructed melodies and great singing and while the writing and lyrics are clumsy, they do hold some weight. I vastly prefer songs like The Sun Always Shine On TV, Cry Wolf, their cover of Crying In The Rain and Summer Moved On more than their biggest hit Take On Me. I mea, if we made bands like Duran Duran and Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark into superstars in the US, then it should’ve happen to these guys.

Just got back home to Ottawa; saw a great documentary on the plane back about Suzi Quatro called “Suzi Q”

Neil has done a lot. Musically, he did The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, and more recently, the “Mouth” mashup albums.

Alright so I found out that Sir Mix-A-Lot, the same guy who gave us Baby Got Back, had a song on his first album which samples Iron Man by Black Sabbath with the help of a band called Metal Church, and it’s a kickass song
