Reznor jumped off Twitter, after going after the site as an “embarrassment”.
Beaver Musk got his fee fees hurt by this and called Trent fucking Reznor a “crybaby”.
Rez could stomp a mudhole in Musk’s ass and then write an award winning song about it, all in the span of 20 minutes.
Jack White also left, so that’s two more legends that jumped off that sinking ship. Every musician and singer worth their salt should abandon it.

In my humble and honest opinion, I don’t like the concept of “Big 4” not just because they’re the pioneers of thrash metal, it’s actually because the way I see it, it’s an oath of being the most popular thrash metal bands out there. I don’t see Anthrax being that much popular which Testament, Exodus or Overkill shoulda been at their place. Exodus should’a been there instead of Megadeth.

Yeah the “Big 4” usually means the 4 most successful bands and not the 4 bands that pioneered or best represent the genre. I think Anthrax deserves being in the big 4 since they were one of the pioneers of east coast thrash and the term “thrash metal” did come from their song “Metal Thrashing Mad”. Megadeth isn’t one of the most important and influential thrash metal bands and I think they only got in because of their success and Dave Mustaine being in the band.
Come to think about it, the big four being an exclusive club of 4 thrash metal bands could be part of what’s keeping other bands like Exodus, Testament, and Overkill from getting a lot recognition. I wonder how many people call themselves huge thrash metal fans yet have only listen to the big 4 (or even worse, only heard of the big 4 and only listens to Metallica).
I remember seeing what Loudwire (they are a joke by the way, most music news and reviews sites are) thought the big four of many metal subgenres should be and their choices were so laughable.

you know what i discovered a few weeks ago? i was in HMV & while looking at the vinyls (something i almost never do, just sometimes & this time i thought i would), i looked at the Green Day album Dookie & i’ll tell you what i saw on the cover: while looking at & admiring the art on the cover, i happen to spot the figure from Black Sabbath’s debut with the words “what is this that stands before me?” next to it.
did anybody else notice that? cuz i honestly can’t believe it took me this long to notice it.

Lux Æterna doesn’t sound much better than Hardwired (which wasn’t even a good album). Metallica said this would be their best album yet but I doubt it will. They are all getting old, running out of ideas, and Kirk Hammett hasn’t had a really good guitar solo in years. At least there’s no “The Unforgiven IV” and the album cover isn’t as terrible as Hardwired’s the album cover is even worse than Hardwired’s (at least Hardwired still had the classic Metallica logo). I expect this album to sound just like Hardwired except slower and heavier.

I doubt it’ll live up to the hype. With Hardwired they released almost all of the fastest, 80s-sounding tracks (except Spit out the Bone), and when the whole album was released, I was disappointed as the rest of the album (except Spit out the Bone) was nothing but pop “metal” which sounds more like The Black Album or Load. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lux Æterna is the fastest song on the album and the rest of the album ends up sounding like The Black Album or the non-thrash songs off Hardwired. It’s clear to me Metallica lost their way after …And Justice for All and they’ll never be as good as they once were.
