NFT Question

I was analyzing today if Derpibooru has any official profile of NFTs and I discovered 3 things.

1 - Derpibooru has trademark protection on Unstoppable Domains to prevent other users from buying NFTs from Derpibooru’s domain, and when I checked the agreement, I found that Derpibooru maybe have requested domain protection.

2 - I was browsing OpenSea where I normally research and buy NFTsm and found that there is this profile made in the name of Derpibooru.

3 - I also found out that there is a Derpibooru domain record on the ethereum blockchain.

I made this thread just to confirm if Derpibooru is officially working NFTs or if there’s something wrong going on.

Why would you want to associate with nft’s?

I just want to know if Derpibooru has anything official to NFTs. I’m confused if this is official information.

Anyone can register any domain they want on those services. Anyone and anything.

I asked in modchat and the universal response was that none of us have or want anything to do with any of those sites.

I’ve been using Unstoppable Domains for almost 1 year. I know that this NFT company is a reliable company and has an organized policy for selling NFTs. If Derpibooru has trademark protection, then this company has recognized that Derpibooru may have required protection.

But yes, I can trust your words because this company seeks to protect famous names on the internet.

About the OpenSea collection, I recommend a review. Because if it is misuse of the name Derpibooru, the staff can appeal a report on OpenSea to remove the collection.

My impression is that none of us even want to touch OpenSea. I mean, they’re selling some of the site’s staff’s art and we can’t even get our own images off of there.

If I recall correctly though that profile there has been reported before, and we at least made it so they can’t hot link images straight off of the site.

But beyond that getting images off of there is like trying to get someone else’s art off of Google or trying to keep people from selling T-Shirts with your art on it on Etsy.

Thank you for letting us know about it, but I’m not sure any of us want to deal with those sites again, or if doing so would even change anything.

Personally, I think what’s happening there is immoral and illegal - they’re selling images for hundreds of US$ that were made available here by the original artists for free.

In the end, the artist gets nothing. And I think that’s just wrong.

yes, i agree with the immorality part, this also hinders artists who want to work with this market in the future.
