Wow it’s a false tale? I used to hear it all the time, usually to show how Hillenburg is an example of creative integrity in contrast to John K’s behavior.

Interesting. Costantinople was after all was probably the New York City of the Orthodox world, also a place to get ahead in life instead of just being a farmer in the Pontus region.

I don’t know how it is in Japan or Korea, but in China, the number 4 is considered unlucky as it sounds almost exactly the same as “death.”
