In a few countries, giving your child ridiculous names is actually illegal, and the government can forcibly change it if they feel it will cause the child undue distress. In some, you have to choose from a government approved list, and need special permission to choose a name that isn’t on the list.

The reason why there are so many news articles that begin with “Florida Man/Woman” is because the media have unrestricted access to Florida police reports.

The music video for the White Stripes song “Fell In Love With A Girl” was made using Lego Bricks and stop motion, and remains one of their most famous music videos.  
During the production of the song, White Stripes singer Jack White got into negotiations with the Lego company, and asked them that, in order to help do some cross-promotion for the album, that Lego would make an exclusive White Stripes themed Lego set to be included with each single of their record White Blood Cells (which featured this song). The set would have also included minifigures versions of Jack White and his then-wife Meg White.  
The Lego company declined however, as they thought that the White Stripes where too “adult” for Lego’s intended age group. However, once the song came out and it proved to be a massive hit, Lego contacted Jack again, asking if he would like to try and do the negotiations again. Jack White refused out of anger.
