Unpopular opinion: Romance ruined the show. Change my mind on that. Prove me wrong.

It sorta did. The way they handled Jarco, at least up until the part they just abandon her from the show. All of the other ships weren’t that good and took up way too much time from the plot and from Starco.

I never implied that. It was handled poorly but you can say that about anything in a show.
 
The difference is that throwing away the romance and it creates a net positive. If you threw away the racism (which was btw also handled poorly), then it creates a net negative because it’s important and actually has substance.

I guess on why it exists. It’s a story element without a purpose other than to push the current story. It doesn’t really explain why it’s there to begin with. Everything has to be pulled from speculation.
 
For example, Queen Solaria hates monsters. But why??? She’s not the type to see Mewmans as a superior race. She just hates monsters. Like, other than her love for Eclipsa, that’s pretty much the only two important parts of her character.
 
There’s also the fact that Mewmans are racist against monsters and again, why??? We all know that Mewmans lost their memories, so what pushed them to hate monsters? It’s not religion nor is it racial superiority.
 
The cause is just as important as the effect. Star and Eclipsa both failed as a queen because they failed to identify the causes of these rifts. The show finale all happened because they were so focused on helping monsters that they pushed away the Mewmans and made the problems worse.
 
They never once stopped and asked why???

Well, they f*cked that up bad, didn’t they? Eclipsa was biased for monsters and against Mewmans while Star was too focused on trying to put two pieces together without asking why they’re not together before.

I believe the mewmans were just expansionist at first and the monsters being the natives and naturally more powerful were in the way of that.
 
Monsters naturally fought back when they thought they were at risk.
 
Solaria probably hated them for being in the way more than anything and drank deep of the ‘in the way=evil’ cup.
 
I think the show made at least that much clear.

Chill, You’re not the only one here, nor in the whole world, who likes this show. I like this show, but that does not mean it cannot be criticized, and criticizing the show doesn’t ruin it for people. I recognize the show’s flaws and I still love it and still think more people should watch it, I just recognize where the show should improve.

Telling me to chill won’t save Eden Sher’s abruptly ruined career.

Last time I checked “It’s for kids” was a terrible excuse for poorly-made shows like, for example, Teen Titans Go. And people get triggered at the show’s lewd art.

“It’s just a cartoon” Isn’t the same thing as “It’s for kids”. at the end of the day, it’s a cartoon, not something to get that upset about. For the last part, you may need to clear up what you mean.

Guess what? Sausage Party is also a cartoon and nobody claims it’s for kids. You’re taking this way too far. I’ve yet to see this kind of dedication for MLP.

No, you’re overreacting. We’re not asking you to hate it, we’re asking you to chill and be aware of it’s flaws. I love the show and I’m aware of it’s flaws, and you accepting it’s flaws is not going to cause it to die. If you love it, it doesn’t die, if you hate it, it doesn’t die, you have no control over that and neither do either of us.
