Eh, since it was my first, I had no idea how to actually make it correctly.
 
The rice isn’t as soft as I wished it was. It tasted good though and I even mixed in some apple juice.

I should’ve gone to Hooters before they closed the only one in Utah.

Time to go to an expensive bar and sit alone amongst all the kissing and hugging College kids which will soon escalate to fucking in the back of a car, getting pregger, having twins, breaking up and ruining both kids’ lives and they become strippers.

That’s quite a shame. It’d be nice to play arcade games while buzzed/drunk and not have to drive to either Las Vegas, Denver or even (drumroll) Boise, Idaho! Boise of all places! Boise! A town which, to my knowledge, is a little bit smaller than Salt Lake City by land area, but slightly larger than Provo!
 
Oh, and for shits and giggles, I searched for some D&B locations in the next most repressive state when it comes to alcohol: Pennsylvania. 2 of them are in Philly alone! It’s kinda funny when the second most alcohol-repressive state has 4 freakin’ D&B locations when we in the Beehive have none.
 
Speaking of Pennsylvania: I wonder what their excuse is for being almost as bad as Utah.

I can’t even get a buzz from a single 12 oz. can or 12 oz. bottle of the 3.2% beer they sell in grocery stores and gas stations. That 0.5% “non-alcoholic” may as well be non-alcoholic.

0.5% is called non-alcoholic because you’d have to drink more than your body can handle in order to get buzzed. You’d probably die from diluted blood or drowning before you could even feel the alcoholic effects.

I just found this on Utah potentially looking into allowing stronger than 3.2% beer being sold in the private sector, all because Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas have already done so, or will soon do so.
 
In my opinion, it doesn’t go far enough, but it is a step in the right direction.

Needs to happen. All they do continuing the current system is short the state of extra revenue. People are gonna smuggle bulk booze across state lines and/or homebrew anyway to get around it. Same with lotto ticket revenue. The legislative powers that be need a reality check on these matters.
 
*Granted I see one of the commenters in that article mentions the recently lowered DUI standard and how stronger beer could be a ruse to grab more cash by that backdoor.

So I’m going to have my first drink today (I just turned 21), but I can’t stand the taste of most alcoholic beverages. Any recommendations?

Alcohol is going to taste like shit regardless on your first try.
 
I’d recommend whiskey.

You may want to start off easy, since your body isn’t used to the effects of alcohol. I’d recommend some beer that’s 4% ABV or less to get started. If you want something sweet, I’d go for Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Henry’s Hard Soda, Smirnoff Ice or any of those malt beverages.

Apparently, the half a Mai Tai that I barely drank last night was enough to make me hung over today.
 
I have successfully concluded that I’m not a drinking person.

Sorry for the late reply…but like I said, I would’ve taken it easy for your first taste of booze, since you weren’t used to the dizzying effects of alcohol yet.

So I regard myself as beer-curious.
 
Haven’t tried many, strongest I can regularly get is these cans of (fruit)-a-rita.
 
Don’t like regular beer, prefer ciders or sweeter ales like Not Your Father’s root beer.

My sister and brother swear by it, but it was just another beer to me.
