Curious, though: How do you get internet? 70 years ago, the closest thing to cat cabling was phone cable. Not very close. Do you use some form of wireless?

And they do a fine job of it, if I do say so myself. They protect you by shutting off once too much power is drawn. The only thing that you need to worry about after that, is switching it back on. If it’s an outlet style GFCI, then there’s a button that says ‘reset.’ Modern models only work three times, and then you must replace them. If it’s a breaker style GFCI, then you turn it to the off position, and then to the on position. Interestingly, people have gotten shocked to death in kitchens by hand-washing live toasters, and that’s why we now have to install GFCI’s in kitchens. Older buildings tend to not have that stuff. How old is the building that you live in?Ah. I see. The place i live in is over 70 years old..Might be worth considering doing some upgrading sometime…I’ll consider it. Thanks.
