So was this the inspiration for a horror movie or something?

The latest Doctor Strange was pretty solid. Would’ve been nice if Sam Raimi was allowed to direct though.

I really don’t like how the MCU is apparently now officially the 616 universe. I’ve been leery about the Macy’s take on the multiverse and it looks like my worries are validated.

Mecha Musume is a genre I didn’t know existed until today and I’m totally for it 100%

Only if the one of the robot is has anthromorphic or ginjka qualities. if doesn’t, then no.

There’s a few scenes that are just permeated with his signature style, while many others feel like you standard MCU flavor. The disconnect reminds me of Josstice League even though I’m pretty sure Raimi was there from the start.

I see. Since the mecha musume pics I see are gijinka then yeah it’s furry. Good to know.

Also yeah Strange 2 woulda been better of he wasn’t directing for the MCU crowd but instead was directing it for Raimi fans.

Love it or hate it, Raimi’s Raimi. But it’d at least have a consistent identity throughout the movie.

Oh hey that RWBY anime finally came out.

Also, they dropped the middleman and just made RWBY an anime.

I just got back from watching Elvis. It was pretty good. The person who played Elvis did an excellent job. Tom Hanks was good, though his performance was cartoonish at times.

The movie is told from the perspective of Elvis’ manager, and I think that was a mistake. Tom Parker isn’t likable enough to have him be the one to retell the events. The movie could’ve made him as this sort of morally grey antihero, but instead, he’s just kinda detestable, which is honestly probably what they were going for. From what I read, Tom Parker was quite the dick. I think what they should’ve done was have the movie be from Elvis’ perspective. Have Parker still be in it, but have Elvis be the main focus. It would’ve been cliche, but I think it would’ve made the movie stronger.

Regardless, I enjoyed the film. It was well worth the price of admission.

Who was the middleman?

RWBY itself.

The show was very clearly an “American made anime” (or “Americanime”, if you want to hurt your soul). So having a Japanese studio make and dub a retelling of it is just dropping the pretense.

In Dragon Ball news, some spoilers just got official names. Gohan Blanco is officially named Gohan Beast. Eh, lame. I was kinda partial to the supposed name Final Gohan, due to a clear reference of it effectively being the SS2 state of Ultimate Gohan. There’s wordplay there. Also the orange Piccolo form is officially named…Orange Piccolo. I kinda wish they swapped the words around to get the snappier Piccolo Orange, especially since that would follow the recent Super Saiyan naming conventions.

I just got Digimon Cyber Sleuth for the PC. It’s half off and my GF got it for me. The deal on Steam will last 7 more days.

It takes like 30 minutes to get to anything fun with all the dialogue, but it has tons of Digimon and they all look great. 340 monsters all decently well animated.

Digimon World one and two where my favorite games as a kid, so this new game is cool.
