Bright, the Will Smith fantasy buddy cop movie where orcs were less stand-ins for black people and more just black people in all but appearance (to a near offensive degree), has an anime prequel.

Doofenshmirtz is based. I love comically edgy characters. Neither of his parents showed up to his birth.

It’s not entirely impossible that the Suez Canal has recently become sentient and is actively attacking any ship that rubs it the wrong way.

Evergiven and Affinity may just be the prelude to a worldwide shipping disaster caused by an angry waterway.

Production of Uncle From Another World has been delayed indefinitely due to a COVID outbreak. Episode 8 will air as planned, but after that it’s going away and won’t come back until at least 4 weeks, maybe even 2023.

I still like the show but really wish this episode focused more on Blonsky and less on the weird Dennis/Runa subplot. Not the strongest episode for me, but I really like Pug.

This episode also kinda revealed a major weakness with She Hulk: her rogues gallery sucks. The Wrecking Crew is one of her better foes and they still suck, meanwhile this episode gave them an even poorer introduction.

Yeah, Abomination is the big hook I’m interested in here on top of the rumors of Red Hulk. But even that’s an indictment of She Hulk she since they are Hulk villains.

The whole appeal of She-Hulk was always the humor. Hell, she was doing the whole “fourth wall breaking” shtick before anyone knew who Rob “Pockets” Liefeld was.

They tried making her a more serious character in the mid 2010s, and… let’s just say it wasn’t exactly all that good.

That’s the thing with “addendum heroes” or “successors”. They don’t really have rogue gallery, or they just use villains from the original. I mean Miles Morales doesn’t have a proper rogue gallery, neither does Nightwing.

Well they started as such. But they’ve been traded around enough that they’re kinda general purpose villains nowadays.

Which just reinforces the point against Jen’s villains.
