Anyone else likes both Sing movies? I find both movies really fun.

And Sing 1 & 2’s energy makes watching them really enjoyable.

Do you have any particular favorite characters?

Unfortunately, no. I found the first one to be painfully mediocre, and from what I heard, the second one wasn’t much better in that regard (aside from introducing two new characters that exploded within the furry community).

Honestly, I don’t have a high opinion of Illumination as a whole. The first Despicable Me was fantastic, and second one was pretty good in it’s own way, but aside from that, I find a majority of their titles to either be average but harmless (Secret Life of Pets) or painfully mediocre (The Grinch).

I mean, if it’s any consolation, I only found two of the movies they made to be genuinely bad.

This might be a surprise but it’s Rosita and her husband. She is a really capable wife and mother and her husband seems to be a horrible husband at first but turns out to be a really sweet and supportive character. The rest of the cast is really lovable. I kind of like all of them. Rosita is the favorite but not super favorite.

Honestly Sing 1 & 2 are probably the only movies from Illumination I like. I don’t watch a lot of movies from them anyway. Maybe the first Despicable Me but I don’t like that nearly as much. I think I just like animals, and the energy these movies have, especially near the end which basically turns into a stage musical.

Rurouni Kenshin is a famous Shonen Jump Anime/Manga series from the 90s about a wandering Samurai who used to be a legendary Assassin with a vow to never kill again. It’s getting an anime remake. The series is pretty good, however there’s controversy because the creator of the series was in possession of a lot of CP material some years back.

I can get behind the idea of a Rurouni Kenshin reboot, since the original anime never got to adapt the final arc, but… Seriously? After all that’s happened with the author, is it really in good taste to do this?
