Really glad to see Starco thread!

Also, involving how SvtFoE ended… Yeah there’s been a fair debate on such. Not only with the whole thing involving Star destroy magic, with some unfortunate implications of just who this would destroy but then the fallout and consequences for her doing such which was basically hand waved and not even time to even explore.

That and the fact that it took them basically the whole show to actually get Star and Marco together, with the fact that the Magical High Commission were basically made the villains, when such ended up basically pointless.

Among a whole bunch of other little details…But as a whole I still loved the show, now at least still be fanfiction and comics to fill in the blanks or even fix the issues with the ending. Creating an AU or alternate future even.

@Hollowfox Jaeger
Signs, honestly I don’t think a full hour could have been enough. Where not only was the final extremely rush but many of the plot points could have been expanding many episodes or even a few season. More, there could have been an exploration of Mewni’s past and of the Butterfly Family. More so, we will not actually get to see Starco living their lives as a new couple. Still able to go one adventures or face other challenges together, no more “Will They or Wont They” nonsense.

More, I feel that Star having to “destroy magic” was not the right direction to take things. That they could have had Mina Loveberry and the Solaria Knights defeated another way. Hell, the idea that the ghosts of the previous Queens of Mewni, counting Solaria Butterfly, coming back ro help Star defeat Mina would have been a great way of handling things. More, it could have been just the think to see Mina called out by the Queen she so admired.

That while Solaria might still have still had her misgivings about monsters, seeing her daughter Eclipsa and her granddaughter Meteora could have caused her to be more willing to listen to Star and hear her out. Consider that perhaps monsters and Mewmen could actually live together. That it was time to put her past hatreds behind her, for the sake of her daughter and granddaughter. That with her help and the other Queens of Mewni, allowing it so that Star could disrupt and disable the armor of the Solaria Knights. Instead of going with such an extreme choice.

More, I’d rather see the Magical High Commission called out and forced to admit that they are wrong then disappearing, essentially being killed by Star when she had destroyed the magic… Along with all her spells, the spells of other Queens of Mewni, Baby, and perhaps many others who were innocent of any crimes committed by magic and those who used it. Those with lives of their own, friendships or relationships, and even a free will or sentience.

How many were destroyed or lost when Star did what she did, when she destroyed magic?

What happened to all the other dimensions and how many were unfortunately cut off from friends or family?

What of the disruption of trade and economics between dimensions, or those who depend of traveling between such?

More, what of the chaos that would realistically and arguably follow having out world superimposed by Mewni?

Would our world just accept that there is now monsters and fantastical creatures, suddenly appearing?

By having Star do what she did, without thought or consideration of how this would effect others, and in her believing it was actually her choice to make I feel causes Star to come off as extremely selfish or at least terribly blind to the consequences of her actions. All of which was brushed off and left unanswered in the rush to finish the show.

After how they finished it… I honestly wouldn’t want Disney to be the one to bring the series back.

That if it were to be brought back, I’d want it to be without being “Screwed by the Network” or with “Executive Meddling”.
