I fucking hate the concept of appealing to your parents about something serious about yourself like health or financial issues because you fucked up and then instead of assisting you, they'll scold and tell you: "you deserved it" after you didn't listen to them in the first place.

I just actually had that case today. I am suffering from a possible peptic ulcer induced angina because I rarely eat meals exactly on time and sleep at around 7 in the morning due to my internet addiction enhanced insomnia and also eating junk foods so early and before going to sleep. My mom instead of being helpful, got mad at me for doing exactly that.
