Oh no, I agree, the whole thing about bashing One Direction was silly and dumb.

If anything, I feel sorry for the guys nowadays. Their songs were mediocre and their fans were toxic as hell.

Whatever journalist keeps asking respected filmmakers from the old guard what they think of Marvel movies needs to be fired.

Francis Ford Coppola (Apocalypse Now, The Godfather) was being interviewed, the interviewer asked him what he thought about Marvel movies, he had a not-so-positive opinion about it, and Marvel fanboys flipped their lids.

At this point, though, what do people expect? Who in their right mind keeps asking them questions about newer movies? We all know what the answer is gonna be, and we all know it's gonna get people hella angry.

I'm guessing another older filmmaker expressed their distaste in Marvel films, likely in a respectful way ("I personally don't like them, but I ain't gonna stop y'all from liking them"), and Marval fans are just getting extremely mad and defensive again… (EDIT: Looks like I was right, based on TheHappySpaceman's reply that was posted while I was writing my comment.)

Nah, they'll just get a promotion. There is almost no doubt that the previous filmmaker's comment about how he's not a fan of Marvel movies got tons and tons of clicks and shares, which meant that the magazine got tons and tons of ad $$$$. And you know that they love that ad $$$$.

I mean they know that they probably don't give a shit about comic book movies, so asking them about it to get them to shit on them so they can post some clickbaity title like "X director gives SHOCKING opinion on comic book movies", people click to see what it says, vite gets more views, and more views means more money.

"I hate this video so much that I watched it three times!" So yes, because our species is full of idiots who full for clickbait and will give something we hate attention to justify hating it. I saw Silver Quill's video on "critics" who just yell and be hateful rather than to talk about why something is bad and how to improve it or show any love of the art since its easy and gives them the attention they crave.

I'm just remembering how the previous guy claimed that while the Marvel films were "not cinema", people can (and should) still enjoy them if they like them.

My post was also being written when TheHappySpaceman mentioned who it was that people were complaining about now, and honestly, I haven't Coppola's comments on Marvel films yet.
