Unpopular opinion time (super alpha no pony edition)

I have come to the conclusion that you cannot have a “high culture” without music.
 
Almost every major culture that has ever spawned in humanity has created instruments and music. It’s an almost universal concept that transcends physical boundaries and speaks to a united human soul.
 
So, any culture that does not produce music, or actively discourage the creation and propagation of music should be considered a low culture and thus inferior to music producing cultures.

Naruto is trash.
 
Jujutsu Kaisen is overrated.
 
DBZ Kai is better than the original DBZ.
 
Sonic X is actually pretty decent.
 
XY is the best Pokemon anime season.
 
One Punch Man Season 2 is just as good as Season 1 (aside from the animation).
 
Fairy Tail is amazing.
 
And the most controversial one is… I prefer dubs over subs.

Depends on the dub for me. I can’t watch Yu-Gi-Oh or Digimon’s dub, but I prefer MHA’s dub over it’s sub, for the most part.

Speaking of Digimon, I think 02 and Tamers are better than season 1.

You’re not wrong about Kai. For all the jokes and memes, a lot of DBZ fans agree that Kai is superior in a lot of ways.
 
Less filler, better animation, on the English sub Shemal and Sabbet use their more modern voices (no more 10 pack a day Vegeta), a few plot holes are addressed, the shitty Garlic Jr. subplot is gone from the middle of the Cell Saga, etc, etc.

You didn’t say anything about One Piece.

As great as “no filler” sounds, for Dragon Ball Z there’s a lot of good filler episodes in DBZ where I feel they added a lot of charm to the series as far as as Slice Of Life goes, like Goku and Piccolo taking driving tests, the Dragon Ball hunt before the Cell Games(particularly when Goku meets Tao again), or Gohan’s high school shenanigans before the World Tournament in the Buu Saga. Heck with Super, the filler is usually an excuse to go all out with comedy which has made some ethat show’s best episodes.
 
Here’s one that’ll give anime purists an aneurysm: I can’t watch DBZ without the US soundtrack, I need that Bruce Faulconer music constantly blaring in the background

I like DBZ more than Kai because I like most of the filler stuff. If I didn’t want the filler,I’d read the manga.

I can’t say much about Naruto since I stopped following it fairly quickly, but I can’t deny I owe it at least a grudging respect, since it’s what got me into anime at the time.

Cocky people are annoying.

When it comes to teaching history in school, absolutely nothing should be glossed over and taught exactly what happened to a T. Both the good and bad should be taught and nothing should be sugarcoated.

The US is the worst country in the world and unfortunately I’m stuck there.
