So many personal trainers think you need resistance training to be healthy.
If you don’t have any health deficiencies, and you’re active at least a third of the day, your body will find a natural healthy shape.
Big muscles take forever to work for, and go away quickly when not in use. This is because the body is very good at conserving resources. Hypertrophy is a life consuming obsession, full of injuries, and being big usually means you spent a lot of time doing working on it, not that you’re more knowledgeable about the human body.
It pretty much takes a buttload of chicken breast, and periodic muscle damage to get big. Staying healthy is way more complicated.
Lot of body building stuff in my Youtube feed, because I was studying muscle strain for my arm. It’s been healing good, 10/10 would strain again.
Resistance training can speed up weight loss, even with underlying issues, but if you’re not overweight or atrophied, you might have no reason to ever lift a weight outside of your job. However not going to the gym isn’t valuable to personal trainers, they would try to sell me the idea i’m too skinny. Being able to carry a hundred pounds is enough for me.
