Parts of the game also take place in the middle east. I highly doubt there won’t be any females or hijabs. Given the dedication to authenticity, leaving that out wouldn’t make much sense.

The group “Return to Order”, a vile Christian Nationalist group is back in the headlines.
This time bearing a petition of 20k signees to cancel the Amazon show Good Omens, which the idiots addressed to Netflix because CN’s are some of the dumbest people on the planet.

Technically, issuing apprehension warrants for delinquency of duty is due process. It’s a feature in Oregon law apparently.
They weren’t being arrested.
And Texas apparently.

Not really. As a senator you have a duty to engage in the legislative process, and carry out the will of the electorate.
Rather than work within that framework, they chose instead to illegally flee from their duties, while effectively holding the entirely legislative system hostage. Wasting tax payer money all the while. No different than a soldier abandoning his post.
Our leaders should be made to do their job as anyone in the private sector is. While we cannot fire them as one could fire a bad employee, we must find other ways to compel them to work.
They are the servants of the people. And need to be reminded of that.

Then why does it leave a bad taste in mouth? It just doesn’t feel right arresting senators. Since things like that have usually escalated into something worse in history. I mean look at the Roman Republic for instance.

For starters, they’re not being arrested, and they wont be charged for any crime. They’re being brought back to the capital to engage in the duty that the people put them there to do.
If you were working at the Pentagon handling important systems for the security and operations of the US government and then just walked off your post youd have a US marshal on your ass in a day. If you’re a soldier that walks away from his post, expect an MP to come knocking.
Those senators have a duty. The electorate chose to have the makeup of that Congress. Just because they want to be petty because Dems have a majority does not give them the right to act illegally. No more so than those Texas dems had.
We are a nation of laws, and those senators are not above them.
