What happened to the Persian Prince franchise? did Assassin’s Creed basically killed it? or was it killed by other factors?  
I never played the original Prince of Persia but I really dug Warrior Within and okay, I might have enjoyed Prince of Persia 2008 more than I should.
 
probably because I like the design of the male protagonist. Dude looks like, an Anime version of the Fremen ppl in DUNE. Dat blue eyes is just not normal for a sand person–except in DUNE. He’s probably in my opinion, one the more easily recognizable design of any male protags across any video game. That blue-and-red headwear is totally unique.
 
How come we never seen any other characters in any other video game imitate it? It’s actually pretty cool and it immediately gives any character that “desert” look. Kudos to the art team, for real.

Ooooohhhh, Prince of Persia! Now that’s a dope series. Loved it as a kid. Even though it kicked my ass on numerous ocasions. Oh, to be Persian nobility!

I couldn’t beat the original DOS game without cheating

It was basically a tech demo for smooth animation.
 
They should do an HD remake that’s all themed after persian art and architecture.

Wait I thought Sands of Time was a remake of the DOS game in 3D?  
Or are you referring to remaking it as a 2D platformer?  
Also was the original animation rotoscoped?

Btw did you know Assassin’s Creed was pitched as a Prince of Persia game? They called it Prince of Persia: Assassin? Hence why the very prominent parkour elements.

I mean 2d HD with rotoscoped graphics made to emulate persian art.
 
Like a medevil artist fell asleep after painting scenes from Arabian nights.
 
Medevil anatomy too, like goofy skeletons and being vaguely unaware of internal anatomy.
 
Edit: I love assassin’s creed btw, PoP cant beat it on gameplay, but if PoP get made into an art masterpiece that can run on potatoe computers it might attract the attention the first one did.

Potato computers wouldn’t be able to run games with polygons tho. So you will have to stick to 2D art.  
The ORI series is well known for its painterly art but potato can’t run it because many of the assets seen in game are actually 3d assets.

2D HD Prince of Persian would be cool tho.
 
But they gotta figure out how to infinitely scale the frame count, so it can be playable at 120fps and more, to make that PoP smoothness even smoother. If you stick to drawing each frame by hand, you’re limited to how many frames you draw.
 
Unless ofc you use AI to create in-between frames.

Some simple looking games are just very wasteful of resources, and it might only be one thing like a funky filter.

I’m tired, of all the drama and bullshit.

Plus artists I’ve commissioned going DNP and the empty holes they left behind depress me.

It’s kinda hard to get what you’re owed sometimes. Especially when taking the money back can do a lot of damage.
 
Taking the money back is the option, especially if they’re rude about it.
 
However lots of well meaning artist get caught up in false deadline promises in a scramble to apease customers (especially ones they can’t pay back).
 
Customers who have been nice to me in my trying times have gotten art I didn’t know I can draw, I reward patience.

Whew,… I guess you can work even without booze.
