Oh and sleep has been like rolling around sweating and hallucinating. I can clean and talk so mom hasn’t noticed.

You know if an earthquake of that similar strength were to hit Manila, the death toll would be as high as 34,000, it would injure over 100,000 individuals, destroy 200,000 buildings and 3,000,000 individuals can be affected.

Estimated damage cost would be as high as ₱2.3 trillion (42 billion USD).

I also imagine the absolute lawlessness and crime rate here would be chaotic. No clean water to drink and no power to communicate for months. We would desperately seek help from all of you around the world.

Harassing streamers who even consider streaming a certain game just because a certain author’s reprehensible views. Nevermind the numerous people who helped develop the game and people’s freedom to play what they want. Self righteous and selfish bollocks. If you like Harry Potter that’s fine, just as long as nobody is saying she’s not a terf.

I think the saddest part is that JK started an environment where enjoying her creation is more than difficult and she is not doing anything to stop it. It’s her own creation. You’d think she’d pay some attention to the people that love her works. People who simply love Harry Potter for its story, characters, and world building, wishing for them to be real just like how we feel about every fiction we fall in love with, are the real victims.

A lot of other big named streamers and VTubers have been harassed for the game though, that shit isn’t right.

I fear for my boi MickyD. He plays a lot of Harry Potter games.

I just exist now. The overwhelming feeling between neutrality, sadness and the occasional contentment of happiness is only a temporary part of the endeavor. There is so much I want to do, but do I truly need to? The inner underlining workings of my mind are of an enigma. I fear a lot, but nothing at the same time.

What’s even more dumb about this take is the fact that the majority of the people boycotting the game don’t even play games at all.

Harry Potter is one of those “institution” universes where you can no longer solely link it back toward its creator.

Countless creators around the world have touched it. Actors, directors, producers, effects artists, offical authors/artists for the mainline stuff. And the countless fans who have drawn art, wrote stories and fanfics, draw/written porn, made trinkets, cosplays, and figured out a way to play fucking Quittage.

They own Harry Potter just as much a JK. If not moreso.

I’m actually losing my mind with this Hogwarts Legacy discourse. In the words of Charlie from Smiling Friends “This is the most obnoxious thing I’ve ever experienced in my life” I don’t believe people should be socially oratorized over purchasing this game. And I’m sure the vast majority of people who bought it are not actually transphobic. Now are there transphobic people who probably bought this game out of spite? Yes. But if you wanna bully someone, go after the anti-trans anti queer politicians.. You know the people who hold positions of power? The anti LGBTQ politicians. Go after them, protest them….Lord knows I have. not some random twitch streamer who probably doesn’t know about JK Rowling’s controversy. They just see “Hmm nice new Harry Potter game” and move on from there.

Sorry for ranting. But this is such a clusterfuck.

If it’s “ethical grounds” they’re fighting for in their boycott. Why not just boycott pretty much everything in your life? I’m sure there’s always a form of ethical violation involved in the production of most things.

There was a website set up to try and out every streamer that dared to stream the game, and subsequently harass them onstream. It’s literally a invitation to a witch hunt.

Often times whenever there are efforts to “combating online toxicity” too often is it only going after the usual racists, sexists, transphobe etc.
But too often are the ones on the opposite end overlooked, they’re basically given a free pass or even enabled to such behaviors. What that tells me is that one toxicity is acceptable over the other. It is not “combating toxicity”.

This should serve as a wake up call.
